Getting Accustomed to Changes

Just wanted to give a quick update on how we’re doing, which is rather well.

Sam this weekend was found sitting in Bailey’s bouncy seat with her pacifier in her mouth.  Mom just shook her head and walked away. Sam then quickly came out and said “Not baby-Sam big boy!” He obviously is just waiting for the reaction.

He also has taken to crossing his arms across his chest, only so that he’ll be told to uncross them. Sunday morning he crossed them and tried and tried to get Dad to make a fuss. He would say “Dad” as he would uncross and re-cross them until Dad finally told him to uncross them.

Hopefully he doesn’t take his antics too far out of control, as it’s harmlessly cute right now.

Bailey is doing well and starting to get “plump”. Not too much exciting with her right now. She is mostly happy and only upset when she’s hungry, dirty, wants a pacifier or to be bundled up in her blanket. She enjoys her baths and doesn’t fuss at all. Sam enjoys being able to take a bath with her sometimes (with a lot of help from Mom or Dad).

Will get some more pictures taken and posted soon! Sam is getting his pictures taken on Saturday so we’ll have new ones for everyone.

Busy Bailey

Bailey is becoming a lot more alert, staying awake for longer periods of time, and starting to move and hold her head. Last night Andy and I were taking turns talking to her and she would turn her head to find us. She also is starting to make noises for her daddy. She’ll only do about one at a time, but they are definite “coo’s”.

Bailey's 2 (Closer to 3) Week Dr. Appointment

Yesterday we went for Bailey's "Two Week" appointment. (She's 3 weeks) She's doing great and is at the 9oth percentile for height and weight. The doctor said that she's doing great. He also was surprised that she's sleeping through the night, and that many mothers might be quite envious. We'll go back again October 17th.

Speaking of sleeping through the night... Sam is doing better. He didn't get up at all over the weekend, but did get up at 11:00 last night. He's going to bed easier too now as it was a struggle for a few nights ending with him crying on the stair landing. Tough battles, but so worth it once we're all on the same page.

Happy Grandparent's Day!!

We hope that you all like your presents! We worked really hard and made them "all by me-self". Mom only helped roll out the dough and press down the cookie cutters!

We love you all very much!
