Last night I was finally able to catch Bailey playing and clapping on the camera. Normally she will stop whatever she is doing as soon as she sees the camera. It is hard to hear, but she is pressing the button on the puppy to make it play music!

Rollie Polie Bailey Boo
Bailey finally started rolling from her back to her front tonight. She rolled from the toybox to the bottom of the stairs all by herself. She's been able to roll from her stomach for a long time, but always is like a turtle stuck on her back.
This was after Daddy sat her right next to the couch on the floor. She then was able to get up to her knees and hang out there by herself.
She might be going a little too fast!

Quote of the Day for March 29th
I took Sam to the grocery store in his pj's to get some chocolate milk on sale. He didn't have any shoes on, so I gave him a piggy back ride to and from the cart.
After getting back in the car, I told Sam "Good job little monkey." He said:
"Good job little momma!"

Sam Cleaning the Bathroom
Sam just went to the bathroom. I headed downstairs, thinking that he would be right behind me. A few minutes later, I heard him moving his stepstool. I quickly headed upstairs to figure out what he was getting into. When I got there, I found that he had gotten into the closet, gotten the mop out, and was mopping the bathroom. He moved one mat and mopped, then put it back. Then he moved a pair of pants over by the dirty clothes, and moved the second mat before finishing his mopping. He told me, "Momma, I am cleaning your bathroom because it is really messy!"

Our Visit to Chuck E. Cheese
A few weeks ago, we took Sam and Bailey to Chuck E. Cheese. The pizza was surprisingly good and Sam didn't have a problem eating before getting to play.
Once we were done, it was on to the games and rides. One of the first things Sam did was ride in a car with Chuck E. Cheese. He was too busy mashing the buttons to look forward to get his picture taken.
While Sam and Daddy were playing games, Bailey and Momma got our portrait drawn by Chuck (another machine). It turned out really well!
Sam got a car declaring that he is an official "Big Air Pro Snowboarder" too. Sam had a difficult time keeping the balls on his lane when playing Skee-Ball.
It was a great time in all. Sam got to get two baseballs, a rubber cockroach, a pack of Pop Rocks, and three crazy straws. Next time were going earlier though, it was a zoo!

All Sorts of Fun!
Well, it's been a busy week around here. Sam had a difficult week getting used to a faster pace in the morning and changing the clocks. He is certainly enjoying getting to spend time outside though! Today he was outside at 9:00 to play with his trucks in his sandbox. The only time he wasn't outside today was to take his nap and eat. Bailey got to go outside too!
Here is a picture of one of Sam's doves. He loves getting to watch them eat and puts their food out on the sidewalk.
And of course, all that time outside means that the kids have to come in to take a bath! Bailey has learned how to splash and likes to play with Sam's bath toys.
Bailey is working on crawling. she often gets up on all fours, but only moves backwards so far. Last night she moved herself in a big circle around the living room. Of couse she won't do it in front of the camera!

Who, What, Why, Where, and How
Sam has started asking a lot of questions lately.I wasn't expecting this phase until age 3 or 4, but the time has come. I am surprised how well he takes some of the answers. And he is asking "what are the words" when he sees something written, like "Little Cupcake" on Bailey's bib.
Sam's also ganing a sense of direction. He points out the the kitchen is on the other side of the living room wall. He also can tell me which turns to make to get to Grandma and Grandpa Beechers each morning on the way to work.
Yesterday Sam went with me to the store to buy a part to fix the sink drain. He took the old part in his coat pocket to the hardware store. We walked up to the man at the desk and told him that we needed a new seal, took the old one out, and showed it to him. Then we followed him the bin that they were in and watched as the man picked out the right size. He then told him thank you and to have a good day. This was all with a little coaxing from Mom of course. But he did a great job!
Lastly, Sam helped Daddy built a box for the doves this weekend. Our resident doves are back, one of our first signs that Spring is coming. The sit right inside our gate and get scared off until the plants start to grow. So Sam and Daddy built a dove box. He went down to the work area and helped. He even got to pull the trigger on the nail gun. He was quite proud and loves to see them in the yard. He enjoys spreading the bird seed for them too and calls them for dinner.
Bailey's really starting to be coordinated with her hands. She is able to pick up the toys floating around in the tub. She really likes taking baths with her brother. She's starting to learn how to splash too. The next biggest thing is that she is starting to work towards crawling. She will occasionally get on her hands and knees for 2-3 seconds, but that's pretty impressive. She wiggles backwards well, so we'll see how long it takes her to figure out forwards.
